NanoTemper Technologies recently acquired the company SAW Instruments GmbH (Bonn, Germany) thus expanding the portfolio of technologies and further support the success of clients in industry and academia with innovative technologies.
NanoTemper Technologies, founded in 2008, is a globally operating high-tech company that develops, produces and markets instruments for biomolecular analytics. NanoTemper–s proprietary technology MicroScale Thermophoresis (MST) allows identifying and developing drug candidates and enables customers to test the drugs– potency quickly and effectively.
NanoTemper–s high precision instruments made in Germany are used by thousands of scientists in more than 30 different countries. Acquiring SAW Instruments, NanoTemper Technologies takes the next step, paving the way into the premier league of biotech companies: „We want to offer our customers the best possible solution for their research“, explains Dr. Philipp Baaske, CEO of NanoTemper Technologies.
By acquiring SAW Instruments GmbH and their proprietary Surface Acoustic Wave technology, NanoTemper Technologies expands the portfolio by an additional methodology for biomolecular interaction analysis. The founders of NanoTemper Technologies, Dr. Philipp Baaske and Dr. Stefan Duhr, recognized the great potential of both techniques: „With MicroScale Thermophoresis (MST) and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW), we can study interactions between biomolecules, shedding light on the interaction mechanism from different perspectives providing additional insights and benefits!“
